Associate Attorney

Dolores Zhao is an Associate Attorney at Grandelli & Eskenasi, where she advocates for injured individuals and families in personal injury cases throughout New York City and State. Ms. Zhao’s practice includes personal injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability matters, with particular emphasis on claims involving the City of New York, municipal defendants, and other public entities.

Since joining Grandelli & Eskenasi, Ms. Zhao has been actively involved in all stages of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, motion practice, legal research, and trial preparation. She first joined the firm as a legal intern in Spring 2025 and now continues her work as an associate, bringing analytical rigor, persuasive legal writing, and a thoughtful, client-first approach to each matter.

Ms. Zhao graduated in the top 30% of her class in law school and distinguished herself through her involvement in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society. Ms. Zhao received the Carswell Scholarship, and served as a Marsha Garrison Family Law & Policy Fellow. Her experience in alternative dispute resolution strengthened her skills in negotiation, client counseling, advocacy, and practical problem-solving.

Prior to working at Grandelli & Eskenasi, Ms. Zhao served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Peter F. DeLizzo of the New York City Family Court in Richmond County. She also served as a teaching and research assistant to professors during law school.

Ms. Zhao is proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese, allowing her to communicate effectively with a broader range of clients and helping the firm better serve injured individuals and families in New York’s diverse communities. Her language skills strengthen the firm’s ability to reach clients who may otherwise face barriers in understanding their rights, navigating the legal process, and seeking compensation after an injury.
